Renowned international arbitration and regulatory expert Marie Talašová joins Wolf Theiss

Prague, 7 December 2023 – Wolf Theiss appoints Marie Talašová to strengthen its Dispute Resolution team in Prague. Marie joins as Counsel, bringing with her 15 years of expertise in international arbitration. With the addition of another highly experienced counsel to its team, Wolf Theiss is primed for further strategic growth in 2024.

Wolf Theiss announced today the appointment of Marie Talašová as Counsel at its Prague office. An internationally recognised arbitration practitioner, Marie has spent the better part of the last two decades in areas including energy, FDI and state aid. She joins from White & Case in Prague and will take up her new position in January 2024.

Marie Talašová joins the Prague Dispute Resolution team co-headed by Jitka Logesová (investigations and white-collar crime) and Robert Pelikán (civil litigation and arbitration), where her primary focus will be arbitration and investment law, including regulatory aspects of export control, dual-use goods and FDI, as well as Ukraine-related advisory.

Marie brings a wealth of experience from her role as the Head of the International Legal Services Department at the Czech Ministry of Finance where she defended the Czech Republic in numerous investment arbitrations, served as the lead negotiator for bilateral investment agreements and advised on international and EU law matters. She also previously worked at King & Spalding and other major law firms in the USA and UK.
