Wolf Theiss advises TREND Group on cross-border acquisition of GALA Group
Warsaw, 24 September 2025 – Wolf Theiss acted as lead adviser to TREND Group on the acquisition of GALA Group, a leading German manufacturer and one-stop shop for scented and unscented candles, home fragrances, and natural home décor. The transaction was financed by funds managed by CVI Dom Maklerski and the Polish Development Fund (PFR).
Wolf Theiss provided comprehensive legal support across all aspects of the transaction, including legal due diligence, negotiation of the share purchase agreement, antitrust advice and assistanceing with signing and overall completion.

GALA Group, founded in 1972, is one of the fastest-growing manufacturers of candles, home fragrances, and home decorations globally. It employs nearly 4,000 people and operates production facilities in Germany, Poland, Hungary, and India. Its products are distributed to over 75 countries.
The transaction was executed in close collaboration with leading law firms across multiple jurisdictions. Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised on German law aspects of the transaction. Oaklins served as M&A adviser to the client.
