Wolf Theiss advises Terreal and its shareholders on the sale of a major stake in their European roofing business to Wienerberger

Vienna, 1 March 2024 – Wolf Theiss advises Terreal Group, a provider of roofing and solar solutions, and its shareholders on the sale of a significant part of its European roofing business to Wienerberger, a leading international manufacturer of building material and infrastructure solutions.

The strategic sale encompasses Terreal operations in France, Italy, Spain and the USA, along with the Creaton business in Germany and the Benelux countries. Terreal operations located in Austria, Poland and Hungary are not part of the transaction. The value of the acquisition amounts to EUR 600 million, subject to customary closing adjustments. The transaction comprises 28 production sites and around 3,000 Terreal employees.

Wolf Theiss’ cross-border team advised on all Austrian, Polish and Hungarian aspects of the transaction.
