Technology Insights on new financial services built on the Enterprise Blockchain, Central Bank Digital Currencies and the issuance of a Digital Euro
with Richard Gendal Brown & Petko Karamotchev
As 2021 sees central banks pushing forward with the adoption of central bank digital currencies, Wolf Theiss will shortly be hosting several interviews and discussions with senior technology and financial leaders who are leading and implementing the next generation of financial services using blockchain technology.
Our first conversations will be with Richard Gendall Brown, CTO of R3 (who will speak at our next Future Of event) and Petko Karamotchev, CEO of Industria Technology. As CTO of R3, Richard is a global leader in blockchain technology and the architect of R3's Corda enterprise blockchain platform, for which Industria Technology is a key development partner.
The Corda enterprise blockchain platform is the foundation for a wide range of digital currency and banking solutions including Contour, a digital trade network of the world’s leading trade banks and Sweden's e-krona digital currency project.
With Richard, Petko and others we will be exploring in detail some of the innovative projects that have already been implemented in Europe including Italy's Spunta Banka solution used by over 100 Italian banks, the practical considerations of digital currencies, and some of the learnings from the structuring and governing of complex multi-party financial services blockchain projects.
