Wolf Theiss advises GoldenPeaks Capital on the commissioning of 64.56 MW solar power plant in Hungary

Budapest, 9 May 2025 – Wolf Theiss acted as legal advisor on complex EPC contracting and trustee coordination for a 64.56 MW photovoltaic (PV) power plant recently commissioned in Hungary by GoldenPeaks Capital.

GoldenPeaks Capital, a global investment group focused on the energy sector, has commenced operations at its latest solar facility near Bodroghalom, Hungary. Developed through its local entity, Spectris, the plant has an installed capacity of 64.56 MW and is expected to generate 94.6 GWh of electricity annually. This is sufficient to supply over 30,000 people with renewable energy each year, avoiding an estimated 863,394 tonnes of CO₂ emissions over the plant’s operational lifetime – equivalent to the carbon absorption capacity of more than one million trees.

This project marks the first of several planned installations in Hungary and expands GoldenPeaks Capital’s growing portfolio of renewable assets in Central and Eastern Europe, particularly in Poland and Hungary.

Wolf Theiss advised on the full scope of legal aspects, including the drafting and negotiation of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreements. These were concluded within a complex contractual structure involving multiple principal contractors and subcontractors. The team also coordinated closely with the construction trustee throughout the contracting phase to support efficient project execution.

The core Wolf Theiss team comprised Laszlo Kenyeres (Partner, Energy), Adam Lukonits (Senior Associate, Energy) and Virag Locsei (Associate, Energy).

“We are pleased to support GoldenPeaks Capital in this endeavour and look forward to continuing our collaboration on future investments that promote sustainable energy solutions”,

Ádám Lukonits, Senior Associate, Wolf Theiss.
