Andrea Gritsch is a member of the financial sector team, as well as the firm's Management Board. Andrea has a strong focus on the financial industry and specializes on cross-border M&A, distressed situations including NPL, corporate and financial restructuring, banking and financial services as well as regulatory compliance. Her clients include banks, financial institutions, insurance undertakings, strategic and financial investors as well as private equity. Andrea is also active in the fast-evolving area of financial technology (FinTech), assisting regulated and non-regulated businesses in digital transformation and taking up new technologies.
Partner Sebastian Oberzaucher co-heads the firm's Procurement Law team and is a member of the firm's Management Board. He advises public contracting authorities on project planning and implementation in connection with complex construction, supply and service tenders with a particular focus on infrastructure, transport, healthcare and IT. Sebastian was involved in the majority of the infrastructure projects in Austria in the past decade. He also focusses on increasing the efficiency of public contracting authorities' procurement processes by restructuring these, developing standardized tendering modules and conducting e-tenders. In addition, he frequently advises bidders on their participation in tender procedures. He safeguards the compliance of bids with procurement regulations and tender conditions and advises in the delicate process of rectifying defects and clarifying information. Moreover, Sebastian regularly and successfully represents contracting authorities and bidders in review proceedings. Sebastian is author of several publications regarding public procurement law as well as on construction law and regularly lectures on public procurement topics in Austria and abroad (Austrian Standards Institute, Business Circle, ÖGEBAU, etc).
Claus Schneider is a member of the Banking & Finance team as well as the firm's Management Board. Claus specializes in debt, hybrid and structured capital market issues and regulatory advisory for financial institutions. He is consistently recognized as one of the leading lawyers in Austria in these fields. Claus has worked on some of the most innovative and first-time debt and hybrid issues in Austria and has been one of the key legal advisors in relation to bank support measures after the 2008 financial crisis. Prior to joining the firm, Claus gained valuable experience working at the World Bank in Washington, D.C.
Richard Wolf is a partner within the Wolf Theiss Banking and Finance Practice Group and a member of the Management Board. He specializes in corporate finance, capital markets and M&A transactions. Prior to joining Wolf Theiss, Richard worked in the investment banking departments of Chase Manhattan Bank and Crédit Lyonnais in Vienna. He gained valuable cross-border transactional experience while working at international law firms in Vienna, Brussels, and at DG VI (Competition) of the European Commission. After completing his legal studies in Austria, Richard obtained an LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School.
