Sebastian Oberzaucher co-heads the firm-wide Procurement team, and is known as one of the leading specialists in Austria in the field of public procurement law. He has long experience in successfully advising contracting authorities and bidders in complex tender procedures, particularly in the infrastructure and healthcare sector. Sebastian was involved in the majority of infrastructure projects in Austria in the last decade, either on bidder side or on the side of the contracting authority. He focuses on advising contracting authorities on planning and implementing tender procedures for complex projects (infrastructure projects, large and complex supply contracts for life science and healthcare products, tenders in the IT-sector, etc.). Moreover, he advises and represents a large number of construction companies as well as international companies in the life science and healthcare sector on their participation in tender procedures and regularly represents clients in review proceedings before the Austrian public procurement reviewing authorities. Sebastian is author of several publications on public procurement as well as on construction law (including on the tendering of works contracts and their implementation, and on public procurement law issues of the purchase or sale of real estate by contracting authorities) and regularly lectures on public procurement topics.
