About Mikolaj Piaskowski

Mikołaj Piaskowski leads the Competition & Antitrust team in Poland and has over 20 years’ experience in merger control, antitrust, consumer protection and State aid law. He has represented clients before the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, the Competition and Consumer Protection Court, the Court of Appeal and the European Commission. He has successfully handled both domestic and complex phase two or multijurisdictional merger control proceedings. He advises clients on strategic and day to day antitrust and consumer protection matters, ensuring compliance of both international and Polish business and managers. He has represented clients in unannounced inspections (dawn raids) and has conducted numerous trainings and mock dawn raids. Mikołaj has also assisted clients in State aid notification proceedings, negotiations and audits before the European Commission, the Polish government, its agencies as well special economic zones. He is recognised as one of the leading competition practitioners in Poland by multiple legal directories.
