About Martin Gassler

Martin Gassler is a member of the Competition & Antitrust team in Vienna and qualified as an attorney-at-law in Austria. With more than five years of experience he advises on all aspects of Austrian and EU competition law (including merger control filings, cartels, abuse of dominance, distribution agreements, cartel damage claims and compliance) and Austrian Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).

He holds a doctorate degree from the University of Vienna (Dr.iur.) and a master’s degree from the University of Oxford (M.Jur.). He also holds specialized postgraduate degrees from King’s College London (in Economics for Competition Law) and the Brussels School of Competition (in Competition Law). He is an external lecturer at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Wien) and case reporter for Oxford Competition Law (Oxford University Press). He is the author of the book “Information Exchange Between Competitors in EU Competition Law” (Wolters Kluwer) and one of the editors of the KODEX “Green Compliance” (LexisNexis). He also regularly publishes on recent developments in Austrian and EU competition law.
