About Ligia Cecilia Popescu
Ligia Cecilia Popescu has 27 years of experience as a private practice lawyer gained by working with prestigious law firms in Bucharest and London. Ligia spent her formative years as a diplomat in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, specialising in economic diplomacy (investment and double taxation treaties). She is the main contact of the Dispute Resolution (Arbitration/Litigation) practice in Bucharest. Ligia regularly advises multinationals and investment funds in complex international arbitration and litigation as well as in white collar crime cases. She specialises in commercial arbitration, investment arbitration, public procurement litigation, IP/IT and tax litigation in a variety of industries including construction, energy and retail. Ligia is a licensed public procurement expert, a regular contributor to legal magazines and a frequent lecturer at local and international conferences on arbitration, litigation, competition and public procurement matters.
