Wolf Theiss announces four partner promotions and welcomes a new partner in the Czech Republic
Vienna, Budapest, Prague, Zagreb, 1 October 2026 – Wolf Theiss has announced four partner promotions, effective 1 January 2027, and welcomes Jitka Linhartová as a partner in the Czech Republic. The appointments strengthen the firm’s banking and finance, construction, dispute resolution and competition practices across Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe.
Markus Aigner and Philipp Szelinger in Austria, Borna Dejanović in Croatia and Gergely Szalóki in Hungary will become partners on 1 January 2027.
Markus Aigner advises on domestic and cross-border financing and restructuring transactions. His practice covers project, acquisition, energy and real estate finance, as well as corporate lending, secured finance and non-performing loans. He also advises on energy regulation, renewable energy projects and related transactions.
Philipp Szelinger advises clients on construction projects from the negotiation of construction, planning and consultancy contracts through to the resolution of contractual disputes. His experience covers both domestic and international construction matters.
Borna Dejanović focuses on dispute resolution, particularly commercial litigation and arbitration. He has experience advising on complex cross-border disputes.
Gergely Szalóki co-leads the Banking & Finance practice in Hungary. He has more than 20 years of experience advising on banking and finance, capital markets, insurance regulation and financial sector M&A. His work also covers market entry, cross-border financial services and bond issuances.
Jitka Linhartová joins Wolf Theiss as a partner in the Czech Republic and leads the Competition, Public Procurement & Regulatory practice group. She advises on all aspects of competition law, including merger filings, compliance programmes and investigations before Czech, Slovak and EU competition authorities. Her experience spans local and regional law firms and institutions, including the European Commission. She has worked with clients in the automotive, mechanical engineering, household appliances, e-waste and food production sectors.
