Wolf Theiss advises on the acquisition of three FLAGA-branded liquid gas businesses in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia
Budapest, 9 February 2026 – Wolf Theiss advised DCC plc, the leading international energy sales group, on the acquisition of UGI International LLC’s liquid gas businesses in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, serving a combined total of 12,000 customers.
DCC has nearly 50 years’ experience in the liquid gas sector, holding market-leading positions in six countries and expanding into four more including Austria in 2025. Liquid gas remains a priority for DCC’s capital deployment and growth strategy, supporting the transition to lower-carbon energy.
Wolf Theiss coordinated the legal advice provided to DCC during the transaction for Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. This included performing a comprehensive due diligence of the targets, as well as providing customary M&A and regulatory advice covering the three jurisdictions.
The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approval and is expected to complete in Q3 2026.
