Wolf Theiss acted as legal advisor to TaskUS, a US publicly traded company backed by Blackstone, in relation to the acquisition of a Croatian provider of outsourced specialised services, Heloo.
TaskUS, a U.S. outsourcing company that provides content moderation for different companies such as Facebook and Doordash, has successfully closed the acquisition of Heloo, a customer support outsourcing partner in the customer service industry.
Wolf Theiss provided legal assistance to TaskUS on all aspects of the Heloo acquisition, from the legal due diligence phase, structuring and negotiation of transaction documents, to the successful completion of the transaction. The Wolf Theiss team was led by Luka Tadic-Colic (Partner), assisted by Dora Gazi Kovacevic (Partner), Lucia Mocibob (Senior Associate) and Marija Lalin (Associate). For the acquisition, governed by Croatian law, Wolf Theiss involved a wider team including Josip Martinic (Counsel), Ira Peric Ostojic (Consultant), Berislav Draskovic (Associate), Ana Slovenec (Associate), Benjamin Sadric (Associate) and Mateja Jelacic (Associate) from the firm’s Croatian office. Nevena Skocic (Senior Associate) from Wolf Theiss’ Serbian team advised on certain aspects relating to Serbian operations of the deal.
Along with Wolf Theiss, the client was assisted by Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, in relation to English law and US law on relevant aspects of the transaction.
