Ralph Hofmann-Credner is a member of the Dispute Resolution team and has specialised in the financial services industry with a focus on insurance and reinsurance since he started his career as a lawyer in 2002. Ralph is experienced in both insurance regulatory and insurance products and regularly advises clients on policy wordings, general terms and conditions and possible pitfalls in these resulting from case law development or legislative and regulatory changes. Ralph represents clients in front of civil and criminal courts as well as in administrative proceedings including before the Financial Market Authority (FMA), the Austrian insurance supervisory body, for examples in disputes over coverage or recourse claims. This also includes insurance-related cross-border disputes in Austria and across the CEE/SEE region for the global insurance and reinsurance industry. In 2012, he was appointed by Lloyd’s of London as General Representative for Austria. Ralph is admitted to the bar in Austria and is enrolled with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) as a (non-practicing) solicitor in England and Wales.
