About Alexander Georgiev

Alexander Georgiev focuses on energy and infrastructure projects. He has some ten years of experience in the Bulgarian energy sector, advising domestic and international clients on the development, financing, acquisition and operation of renewable energy, battery storage and data centre projects, as well as on the related regulatory matters – from grid connection and licensing to electricity trading and environmental permitting. He has extensive experience in key commercial agreements in the sector, such as power purchase agreements, EPC and O&M contracts, tolling, balancing and battery storage management agreements. Alexander has advised on numerous M&A and financing transactions, from legal due diligence through to closing. He also has extensive dispute resolution experience, covering high-value commercial litigation, energy-related administrative proceedings and international arbitration under the ICC and VIAC rules.
