Wolf Theiss advises Svedbergs Group AB (publ) on the acquisition of a majority stake in UBC

Prague, 5 June 2026 – Wolf Theiss advised Svedbergs Group AB (publ) (“Svedbergs Group”), a leading Northern European manufacturer and supplier of bathroom products, on its acquisition of a majority stake in the Czech bathroom group UBC s.r.o., Polysan s.r.o. and Sapho Manufactory s.r.o. (“UBC”).

Working alongside lead counsel Mannheimer Swartling, the Wolf Theiss team advised Svedbergs Group on all Czech legal aspects relating to the acquisition of an 80% stake in UBC, a well-established Czech bathroom group operating across the entire value chain under its own brands. The agreement also provides Svedbergs Group with the right and intention to acquire the remaining 20% within a period of three to five years.

Svedbergs Group is a long-term investor in Europe’s strongest independent companies designing, manufacturing and marketing sustainable bathroom products and services. With this strategic acquisition, Svedbergs Group advances its strategy to become a leading bathroom products group in Europe, strengthening its market position and expanding its presence in Central and Eastern Europe. The transaction is expected to complete in the second quarter of 2026.
