Wolf Theiss advises Morgan Stanley as Sole Bookrunner on Albania’s first private international bond issuance by Banka Kombëtare Tregtare

Tirana, 30 April 2026 – Wolf Theiss advises Morgan Stanley, as Sole Bookrunner, on the first international senior unsecured bond issuance by a private corporate issuer in Albania.

Wolf Theiss acted as local counsel to the Sole Bookrunner “Morgan Stanley” in connection with the EUR 150 million senior unsecured Eurobond offering by Banka Kombëtare Tregtare SHA. The issuance marks the first international senior unsecured bond issued by an Albanian private corporate issuer.

Banka Kombëtare Tregtare SHA is the largest commercial bank operating in Albania which accounts for almost one-quarter of the total assets of Albanian Banking System. The bank provides banking services to clients in the Albanian market and is active in the local financial sector. BKT traces its origins back to 1925, but it was established in its current legal form in January 1993 following the merger of the Albanian Commercial Bank and the National Bank of Albania.
