Wolf Theiss advises AURELIUS on the acquisition of Winkelmann Automotive Poland, a subsidiary of Winkelmann Group
Warsaw, 12 December 2025 – Wolf Theiss advised AURELIUS, a globally active alternative investor focused on private equity, private debt and real estate, on the acquisition of Winkelmann Automotive Poland (WAP), a renowned manufacturer of torsional vibration dampers based in Poland.
Since November 28, Winkelmann Automotive Poland has joined AURELIUS and will be rebranded as MUVIQ-Legnica. The acquisition complements AURELIUS’ purchase of MUVIQ in 2024 – a global automotive supplier that produces dampers and other components. The WAP transaction underpins AURELIUS’ commitment to the automotive sector and its strategy to supply parts for combustion engines. WAP will benefit from MUVIQ’s global support in sales and other functions.
The cooperation with MUVIQ will support its lifecycle continuity strategy, aimed at addressing underserved segments in the automotive supplier landscape, by ensuring continued delivery of critical combustion-engine components where reliability and supply depth are most needed. MUVIQ-Legnica aligns perfectly with the MUVIQ Group, and together the companies will deliver even better solutions for customers. Backed by its investor, AURELIUS Private Equity Mid-Market Buyout, MUVIQ remains committed to serving its customers in the long term, as demonstrated by AURELIUS’ acquisition of MUVIQ-Legnica.
