Bratislava, 22 June 2020 – Bruno Štefánik and Marko Ernek will join the Bratislava office of Wolf Theiss as Counsel and Senior Associate respectively on 1 July 2020. Recruitment of the two recognized and experienced lawyers is the first step in the planned expansion of the firm’s business in Slovakia. Wolf Theiss is focused on strengthening its teams in the areas of Corporate/M&A, Banking & Finance, Competition and Dispute Resolution while providing clients with high-quality advice in all fields of commercial law. As of July and August 2020, the team will be further strengthened by new Associates Stanislav Bojňanský and Marcel Vereš.
“A strong office in Bratislava is important for Wolf Theiss and the team in Prague in particular. Naturally, many of our clients from the Czech Republic have a presence in Slovakia and our aim is to support them fully in achieving their goals,” says Jitka Logesová, Managing Partner of Wolf Theiss Prague and Bratislava.
“Slovakia is a very dynamic market with fast-developing areas identified as core by our management. The growth of the Bratislava office is one of our major priorities,” adds Claus Schneider, a member of the Wolf Theiss Management Board.
Bruno Štefánik joins the firm from Audia Plastics where he acted as Corporate Counsel for European and Indian operations. Prior to that he spent more than five years at Kinstellar, gaining experience mainly in the fields of M&A and banking & finance. “I am excited about joining Wolf Theiss Bratislava, and I am also very pleased about the good work that has been done in putting this team together. I very much look forward to working with the group in Bratislava,” says Bruno Štefánik who joins the firm as a member of the Corporate/M&A practice group.
Marko Ernek is a senior practitioner with particular experience in competition law matters, notably for clients active in the life sciences & healthcare sector, pharma regulatory, and banking and finance regulatory work. In his previous work, he was regularly involved in M&A deals in the life sciences & health care sectors as well as other regulatory matters in various fields, e.g. telecommunications.
