At Wolf Theiss we strongly believe that a company that employs a diverse workforce is better able to understand the demographics of the global marketplace it serves, can offer more unique perspectives and is thus better equipped to thrive in that marketplace. We have adopted a mandate for multicultural inclusion where we strive to be a recognized leader known in both the business community and the profession as an exceptionally well-integrated firm.
Over 45% of our talented lawyers are women, and with about 60% of our new joiners being female, this number is increasing by the day. With 13 offices across the CEE/SEE region we have a highly diverse geographical footprint. Currently, our workforce comprises more than 25 different nationalities. Although English is used as the official language of Wolf Theiss, the firm members speak 30 different languages. When working on projects, our view is that heterogeneous, multi-cultural teams consistently outperform homogeneous teams on a variety of tasks.
Taking care of our people is a high priority. We encourage excellence and the exchange of new and innovative perspectives in everything we do. Uniting people in a region where, in some cases, it has previously experienced first-hand war-time prejudice is as much part of our philosophy as is overcoming cultural divisiveness. By respecting each other, we have created a unique workplace camaraderie that spills over into our daily lives.
