About Irina Petre

Irina Petre is an energy law expert with more than 25 years of experience advising on complex projects and transactions. Her practice covers M&A transactions, asset and project financing, EPC projects (including railways, motorways, port rehabilitation, waste management), as well as corporate restructurings, regulatory matters and real estate. Throughout her career, she has advised major energy stakeholders on strategic transactions, regulatory challenges and sustainability initiatives, delivering innovative solutions in a rapidly evolving industry.
Before joining Wolf Theiss, Irina spent more than 15 years as Legal Director for three leading energy suppliers and producers in Romania. Earlier in her career, she was a partner in the energy, projects and construction practice of a London-based global law firm.

In addition to her admission to the Bucharest Bar Association, Irina is certified in German law.
