About Manfred

Manfred Essletzbichler is a partner at Wolf Theiss and heads the firm-wide Public Procurement practice. He is considered one of the leading lawyers in this field for many years. After completing his studies at the University of Vienna, he initially worked for 2 years in the procurement department of a public client. For more than 20 years, he has regularly advised both public authorities and bidders on all questions of public procurement law, in particular on participating in, planning, structuring and conducting tenders for construction, service and complex supply contracts in the infrastructure, transport, energy, health (health care/life sciences) and IP/IT sectors. One of his main focusses is infrastructure projects in road, rail and air traffic, as well as complex IT projects. He regularly represents bidders and public authorities in review proceedings before Austrian and European procurement control authorities and courts.
