Jan Kotous is a member of the Banking & Finance and Corporate/M&A teams, focusing on mergers & acquisitions and corporate and financial regulation. In addition to his considerable knowledge in general corporate and commercial law, Jan also has extensive experience representing financial institutions, private equity funds and companies in debt and equity capital markets transactions, banking & finance transactions, financial regulation, derivatives and asset management and M&A. Jan also advises clients across various industry sectors such as financial institutions, communications and energy on a range of data protection, intellectual property law and cyber security issues. Before joining Wolf Theiss, Jan worked at the Czech offices of several major international law firms and as an in-house counsel for a leading Czech bank. Jan is admitted to the bar in the Czech Republic.
