Wolf Theiss continues to expand its Prague team

“Robert David is a distinguished banking and finance lawyer who has more than 20 years of experience in high-profile domestic and international banking transactions. He is a top ranked advisor in several legal directories, and clients value him as a leading Czech banking and finance practitioner. Robert is a perfect addition for our office, and I am very much looking forward to our cooperation,” says Jitka Logesová, Managing Partner of Wolf Theiss Prague.

Robert David specializes in acquisition, export and real estate finance, corporate lending, refinancing and recapitalization deals. He practiced and built his career with international law firms, Allen & Overy, Linklaters and Clifford Chance.

Furthermore, the Wolf Theiss partnership promoted Robert Pelikán to partner and as the head of the Czech dispute resolution and competition practice. “Robert Pelikán is one of the foremost Czech private law experts. He enjoys a reputation as one of the eminent experts in dispute resolution and competition law. He will naturally ensure that both practices operate on a truly high level,” says Logesová about Pelikán who joined Wolf Theiss as a counsel in October 2018.

Robert Pelikán can look back at a successful career as an attorney at an international law firm, as founding partner of his own law firm, and his tenure as the Minister of Justice of the Czech Republic (from 2015 to 2018).

“Robert Pelikán and Robert David bring with them a wealth of experience and expertise that will elevate our dispute resolution, competition and banking practices in the Czech Republic to a new dimension. I am very excited about the opportunities they provide to our firm”, says Claus Schneider, a member of the Wolf Theiss management team.

Wolf Theiss is also happy to announce another promotion: Katerina Kulhankova, a long-term firm’s associate, has been promoted to senior associate. “She has shown exceptional legal and soft skills, a constant level of initiative and a high degree of flexibility. Clients praise Kateřina for her professional advice of high quality, excellent, efficient and reliable services as well as pro-client approach,” comments Logesová.

Kateřina joined Wolf Theiss in 2012 and step by step built up her career. She primarily focuses on the firm-wide practice of IP/IT law and has extensive experience in corporate matters as well.
