Wolf Theiss advises Raiffeisen Bank International on the sale of its Bulgarian business to KBC Bank

Wolf Theiss advises Raiffeisen Bank International AG (RBI) on the sale of Raiffeisenbank (Bulgaria) EAD for 1,015 Billion Euro to KBC Bank NV.

Raiffeisen Bank International AG has reached an agreement on the disposal of 100 per cent of the shares of its Bulgarian subsidiary, Raiffeisenbank (Bulgaria) EAD, to KBC Bank NV, a fully owned subsidiary of Belgian KBC Group NV. The transaction is subject to routine regulatory approvals and merger control clearance.

A multi-diciplinary cross-border team led by Andrea Gritsch and Zeno Grabmayr (Banking M&A Vienna), Claus Schneider (Banking & Finance Vienna), Richard Clegg and Katerina Kraeva (Banking & Finance Sofia) advised RBI on this landmark transaction.
