The Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina is authorized to issue a Vis Maior Confirmation for individual businesses – a confirmation regarding the existence of objective circumstances beyond the control of contracting parties (such as an earthquake, flood, epidemic, government measures, etc.). Vis Maior Confirmation can be used by companies to prove to their clients/business partners that the fulfillment of contractual obligations is not possible and consequently nullify such obligations temporarily or permanently.
In order for the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina to issue a Vis Maior Confirmation it is necessary to:
- Submit a written request on the company memorandum. The request must contain: specific information about the service/product which could not have been realized due to ''force majeure'', the number of the contract to which the impossibility of fulfillment applies, the name of goods which should have been delivered, the delivery deadline and the place where the ''force majeure'' occurred.
- Certify the confirmation with a signature and a seal by an authorized person in the Sector for Public Documents of Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
