SLOVENIA'S SECOND COVID-19 LEGISLATIVE PACKAGE PROVIDES BREATHING SPACE FOR DEBTORS

On 2 April 2020, the Slovenian Parliament adopted the Act on emergency measures to control the COVID-19 epidemic and mitigate its effects on citizens and the economy ("Intervention Act"), providing for certain relief measures for debtors.

The measures adopted through the Intervention Act are set to be applicable from 13 March 2020 until 31 May 2020, with the possibility of a 30 day extension, if the announcement of the epidemic is not lifted by 15 May 2020.
