Hungary has changed its rules regarding employees' legal capacity to work in the duration of the officially mandated home quarantine. Previously, employees returning from travel abroad who were required to remain in official home quarantine could be declared "unable to work" and could be entitled to sick pay.
With the issuance of the Government Decree 398/2020. (VIII. 12.), individuals who are subject to official home quarantine after travel cannot be considered "incapable of work" and they are not entitled to sick pay. Despite the new decree, there is a contradiction in the new legislation and the relevant legal act.
