Pro Cserehát Association received legal advice from Wolf Theiss Hungary in setting up two of its programs after winning the Hungarian Social Business Idea Contest in 2010. The association's primary objective is to support community farming, raise awareness and increase communication to promote a sense of community, in an effort to address unemployment and the food crisis and to introduce a healthy and sustainable way of living.
One way they are achieving this goal is through a program called ProRatatouille, which sets up community-supported organic farms in Hungary. The program helps local poor villages set up their own organic farms and produce vegetables for their own needs. Later on, it is planned to market the products under a common label. A second program, called PrivateRatatouille, enables urban families to support the organic farms and feed their families with products grown there.
