SERBIAN MEASURES TO TACKLE THE EFFECTS OF COVID-19-LATEST UPDATES

Since the first coronavirus patient was registered in Serbia on 6 March 2020, the Government of Republic of Serbia ("Government") imposed an array of restrictions to prevent the emergence and spread of the infectious illness COVID-19, including a decision on the declaration of a state of emergency, effective as of 15 March 2020 (Decision on the declaration of the state of emergency (Official Gazette of the RS No. 29/2020)).

Following this step, the Government authorised competent ministries and local authorities to adopt further measures as required. The relevant measures are changing on a daily basis, with indications that the state authorities may impose additional restrictions on freedom of movement to be put into effect with little or no advanced notice.
