Amendments to the Public Private Partnership Act

On 12 December 2014, the Croatian Parliament adopted the Act amending the Public Private Partnership Act (“Act”). The adopted legislation aims to improve the publicprivate partnership (“PPP”) legal framework by (i) harmonizing the definition of PPP with EUROSTAT recommendations and the definition of total life costs and life cycle cost of PPP projects with ISO EN 15 686-5:2009, (ii) introducing the concept of PPP projects of smaller value with a “simplified” implementation procedure, and (iii) merging the Agency for Public-Private Partnerships and the Agency for Investment and Competitiveness with the aim of rationalizing the costs of public administration.
