WOLF THEISS ADVISES CAPVIS EQUITY PARTNERS ON BUY OF RENA'S POLISH UNIT

Warsaw, Vienna, 20 April 2015 – A fund managed by Capvis Equity Partners AG has bought the Polish unit of RENA Technologies GmbH, a worldwide leader in supplying process technology for wet chemical applications. The Warsaw office of international law firm WOLF THEISS advised the buy-side on all Polish aspects of the deal.

Wolf Theiss advised Capvis on the acquisition of the RENA subsidiary RENA Polska sp. z o.o. This Polish unit employs 120 people, is engaged in the production of components, sub-assemblies and equipment for wet chemical processing, and was RENA's most valuable asset.

Siegfried Seewald, the Wolf Theiss Warsaw partner who led the transaction, explained that the parent company RENA has faced financial difficulties which led to an international tender of assets, including its Polish unit.

Seewald added: "We are delighted that Capvis' offer was deemed most advantageous by an independent expert auditor and accepted by RENA's board of creditors and trustee.. We believe the result assures the positive continuation of the former RENA business in Poland. We were delighted to assist Capvis in its very successful effort."

In addition to Siegfried Seewald, the Wolf Theiss team in Warsaw included Adrian Jonca (Tax) and Marek Władziński (Corporate Law).
