London/Vienna, 21 May 2010 – WOLF THEISS is pleased to announce that it has been named Austrian Law Firm of the Year at the PLC Which Lawyer? Awards 2010. It is the second time that Wolf Theiss has won this award which is decided purely on votes received from in-house counsels. This month, the firm was also selected as Austrian Tax Law Firm of the Year 2010, by International Tax Review, part of the Euromoney Legal Media Group, which also publishes the International Financial Law Review. Besides the award, the magazine similarly recognised Wolf Theiss' Austrian tax practice with Tier 1 status in the country. This latest award reinforces Wolf Theiss’ position as the foremost expert in Austrian tax law following its top tier tax rankings by Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners. Building on our strong existing Austrian tax practice, Wolf Theiss has been in the process of expanding its capabilities to its other offices, recently launching new tax practices in Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine. “We are pleased to receive these awards from PLC and International Tax Review which show that our work has been recognized by both our clients and the legal and tax community. A large part of our work is now regional and the awards recognize the quality of the geographical coverage we can offer to our clients as a single firm,” said Horst Ebhardt, Managing Partner, Wolf Theiss. Commenting on their multiple successes, Niklas Schmidt, tax partner at Wolf Theiss, said: “The intricacies of tax law require a superior level of expertise. Our growing team has detailed knowledge of all aspects of national and international tax law. We are immensely proud to be honoured with this award for the fourth time now.” Download .pdf > |
