IFLR Awards 2009: Wolf Theiss awarded prize for Hungarian office

London, 18 March 2009 – Wolf Theiss is delighted to announce that it has received an honour at the IFLR Law Firm of the Year Awards and has been awarded IFLR Law Firm of the Year for Hungary 2009. At the IFLR Law Firm Awards 2009, Wolf Theiss was awarded “Law Firm of the Year” Hungary 2009. The prestigious award is granted to a firm that has demonstrated both international capability and legal innovation. Wolf Theiss has been active in Hungary since November 2007, when it opened the office with only 6 lawyers. Today Faludi Wolf Theiss is among the largest law firms in Hungary, with 23 lawyers, and over the past year has been involved in many groundbreaking deals in Central and Eastern Europe. The firm’s most recent activities include advising Erste Bank and Immorent with respect to the sale of their ownership in four insurance companies in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary with a total transaction value of EUR 1.45 bn [date].
